The late Albert Kövessy (1860–1924), theatre manager, actor, writer and his warm-hearted philanthropist friends, whom he gathered around him in the last years of his life, sitting at the tables in the New York Café in the afternoons gaining intellectual refreshment through intelligent and witty dialogue, and who, in return, assisted him in his philanthropist endeavours, that on the most beautiful day of the year, at Christmas, to provide some simple supplies to the old actors already unable to work, have decided to stay together in a tight bond even after the departure of the beloved Albert Kövessy, keeping his memory alive, founding their circle of friends titled Kövessy Castle.
